Amen!

We've been trying to teach Aubrey to "pray" during mealtimes and we think she's picking up on it.

No peeking, Aubrey

She's so cute...
she does this even while we are reading devotions and not just the prayer.
Little does she know she'll be doing that for awhile.

Too precious

And then when we say AMEN,
we take our hands off our eyes and throw our hands into the air.

School's Out for the Summer!

Friday was my last day of school and Steve officially finished on Thursday!  We are very much looking forward to a very busy summer with lots of fun things to come (more on that later). Here is what we've been up to in the last week.

Here is our third stroller we have gotten Aubrey.
Now just an umbrella one that is lightweight to take on our trip.
Aubrey wanted to go in it right away after her bath before bedtime.

Proof that she DOES crawl

How I often find her in the mornings before she gets up

Drinking a can of Dr. Pepper....mmmm (unopened of course)

Aubrey has found a new little area to play: the bathroom
She uses the step stool to climb up and get out her bath toys...

Then she takes her items back down to the floor...

She stands up and plays...

She then dumps them all out...so fun!

Poor Aubrey, Daddy tangled her all up and she was stuck.

But not for long...what a good little escape artist!

Reading books with Daddy...
she's getting good at pointing at the things you ask her to find.

Milk, Crawling, Standing

Aubrey has hit a few milestones suddenly this week:

  • She is finally drinking solid WHOLE MILK - no more formula mix (but still out of a bottle)

  • She is finally CRAWLING - she thinks it's funny that she can move in a new way

  • She is finally STANDING - by herself...we set her on the grass and she doesn't move...almost taking a few steps too

Just thought I'd share...hopefully walking is soon!

Quick Visit from the Wynias

Kyle and Ashley and family were on their way to a Graduation party in Bondurant so they decided to come a bit early and visit us for the evening.  Just enough time to eat supper and dessert and then they headed back to the hotel and were on their way again.  Here are a few pictures we got from our fun night together!

Gavin, getting so sleepy

The girls "sharing" the balls and playing together

After a bath her hair has a lot of volume!

It's Been Fun

We have been busy with a lot of things and I'm sorry I haven't posted lately, but here's all the fun we've been up to in the last couple of weeks!

Aubrey typing on the computer

playing with the pile of shoes in the porch

practicing going up and down our one step in the house

"so big" in the tub

making a mess eating supper, as always

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!

picture before church outside

what a pretty little girl I have :)

ADORABLE!

Uncle Dan was snapping and now Aubrey does it all the time!

more snaps, dancing, and singing, during storytime

Aubrey really likes to play with the curtain strings...don't worry we watch her closely!

AND we are even naughty and get her chew on the ends

sleepy baby...so sweet

Tulip Time

TULIP TIME 2012

Right before we "ran" our 2nd annual Tulip Time 5K Klompen as a family.

It was their 19th year sponsoring the Klompen Classic 5K.
It was a record year of over 3,000 people who participated!

VERY hot night to have it.  We shaved off 5 minutes off our time last year.
We walked most and jogged a bit with a time of 46 minutes!

Aubrey LOVED being in the stroller and watching all the people.

All tuckered out after the race.

On Friday, Steve and I both took 1/2 personal days to go to the Tulip Time afternoon parade with Aubrey.
Here we are doing a quick diaper change in the back of the car before we take off.

We met up with Sara and Kailey to watch the parade.

"Cheese" Mommy!

Sporting Mommy's sunglasses since it was really hot!

sweaty little girl

Enjoying some cold milk during the parade.
