Happy Easter - pt 2

For Easter, we went to our church in the morning and then headed over to Tracy for a family lunch at that church. We also had an egg hunt and a surprise anniversary party for Grandpa and Grandma Betty too!

Aubrey ready for church in her new Easter attire :)

Kailey hitched a ride with Aunt Glenda and Amanda from TN so they got to play together.
Here Aubrey is playing with her birthday present from Kailey!
Thanks, McMahans!

Since we were at the church for quite awhile and skipped a nap,
we had to stay entertained.
Thanks, Grandma Char for bringing the DVD player and to
the Dixsons for the new Boz DVD for Aubrey's birthday!

Grandpa and Grandma Betty with their two great grand daughters :)
Happy 55th Anniversary, too - SURPRISE!

And Grandpa and Grandma with all their great grand children.
Baby Boy Palmer will make his arrival in less than a month!

Everybody hanging out.

So sweet :)

Now the three girls were watching Boz and coloring together.

Grandma Char giving the directions to
everyone for the Easter Egg Hunt!
(#4 for Aubrey)

YAY, Aubrey, you found one!
Aubrey had to just find the PURPLE DORA eggs
and she did a good job, too.

Daddy was proud of Aubrey's great egg hunting skills.

Then we went outside to find MORE eggs!

It was super windy and chilly and
almost knocked Aubrey over!

Thank you Grandma Char for making
the Easter Egg Hunt for us.

Aubrey with ANOTHER basket of loot!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Kaisand
with their two great grandchildren :)

A bunch of cute girlies :)

Aubrey was relaxing just popping the bubbles with her feet :)

Easter Festivities - pt 1

We had quite a few Easter egg hunts already, and it's not even Easter yet!

Easter Egg Hunt #1
Lisa (the babysitter) had a lovely little Easter egg hunt for Kate and Aubrey :)
Here is all her loot from that.

The best part was the princess washcloth
that you put under water. Here is the process:

Easter Egg Hunt #2
Today, Oskaloosa had an Easter egg hunt out in an open lot.
We didn't know what to expect, so we braved the rain and gave it a try.
She's all ready!

Mommy could go out with her and help her collect.

Is it time yet? We are getting wet!

They had sections roped off for each age group.
Aubrey was "hunting" with the 1 and 2 year olds.

Ready, Set, Go!
It was crazy and lasted all of about 2 minutes
and then everyone ran back to their cars because we were all wet!

I think she got a total of 6 eggs :)
There was a chance to win some big prizes,
but she just got the cheap chocolate and a few nickels.

Checking out the loot in the car since we were all wet :)

Easter Egg Hunt #3
We bought a few eggs to do a little hunt downstairs.
She wanted to go RIGHT NOW but we had to hide them first :)

Yay, I found a prize, Mom and Dad!

Hmm...Daddy hit that one tricky.
Can you find it?

She even had to look way up high!

Wow, so much fun with eggs and candy and prizes.

And then the Easter bucket became something fun
to wear on her head and dance around in :)

Hi there!

Twin Cedars Carnival

Last night Steve's parents invited us to go with them to the Twin Cedars Carnival at the school to raise money for their music program. They thought Aubrey would have fun with the games so we decided to go.

At first Aubrey was a bit hesitant of the big inflatable slide,
but then she got brave and decided to go down with Alexis.

Yay, this is kinda fun!

Then she realized she could do it by herself, too!

Dolphin Ring Ross

Plinko

Duck Pond

Spin the Wheel

Bean Bag Toss

Thanks Grandpa Craig for buying me the tickets!
I could cash them out for some BUBBLES!

Looking at Steve's records that are still there from 2000-2001:
Most Assists in a Game: 11
Most Steals in a Game: 11
Way to go, Steve :)

Grandpa Craig blowing some bubbles for a bit!

After all the games, we had to sit and watch the presentations.
Good thing for a ring pop :)

Oh, another blast from the past picture!
This is in Steve's high school still:
All-State Speech Team :)
