Busy Little Girl...

It's been a busy week in the Kaisand household!
Not only because school is in full swing, but because
little Miss Avery has accomplished a LOT in one week!

To be exact:
-2nd bottom tooth popped through (not fussy at all about it!)
-can sit up by herself for longer periods of time
-says "bababa" all the time with her tongue out
-transitions to sleeping on her tummy in the middle of the night!
-which has caused her to SLEEP THROUGH the last 3 nights in a row!

I am one proud and happy and well-rested Momma!
Here are a few pics on a Saturday morning ;)

Avery's First Tooth!

Avery is close to 5 1/2 months and just popped in her first tooth!
As you are looking at her, it is the bottom middle left!
What a happy girl with a not-for-much-longer gummy smile!
(If you click on the middle picture, you may be able to see it in a bigger setting.)

Fantastic Gymnastics!

We officially signed Aubrey up for Gymnastics!
We wanted her to get involved in something "athletic" but
not anything competitive since 3-year-olds really can't handle it,
so we thought this would be a great start!
It is a class that meets once a week, for 3-4 year olds.
We have it on Wednesdays from 5:15 at the old
Vennard College gym in Oskaloosa.
There is one teacher and one helper with 3 little girls!
Aubrey LOVED IT!
(The other two girls had done Gymnastics before,
so Aubrey was the "newbie" but she did just fine!)
She even worked up a sweat in a half hour.
What a GREAT way to burn off some energy!
I guess that Gymnastics is in the Kaisand blood,
since there have been several cousins on that side who did it.

Here are her poses BEFORE she went

she loves the leotards ;)

stretching

being a monkey - "oo oo!"

walking on the balance beam

the "trampoline" -  I forget the "gymnastics" term

 boing! boing!
(notice the big girls in the background...Aubrey liked watching them, too)

she struggled a bit walking sideways ;)

saying their goodbyes at the end

the three girls each earned a STAMP for a good day :)

here she is after
(with the jewelry from Grandma VG - thanks!)

Back to School

The 2014-2015 school year is officially underway!
Steve started Monday and had great first day
and we - Osky Christian - started today!
I must say, it does take some extra time in the morning
to get two girls up and out the door!
I usually wake up at 6:30, quick get ready and eat breakfast
hopefully before Aubrey wakes up around 7:10.
Then Daddy is in charge of getting Aubrey dressed and breakfast.
I then wake up Avery to change her and feed her.
Next, I quick do Aubrey's hair before I pump.
Daddy is out the door by 7:30 and
then it is gather all the things we need and try to
head out the door by 7:55 so we are to the babysitter at 8:00
and Mommy is to school by 8:15. PHEW!
And, I see all these "back to school" pictures
but we have none. Oh well :)

Iowa State Fair

Aubrey went up with Daddy Friday night and got to
stay in the camper at the fair.
Avery and Mommy came up on Saturday morning
and we spent a LONG day there,
(leaving home at 8 and home at 9:30)
with no nap for Aubrey and catnaps throughout for Avery.
Overall, the girls did well, but "it's hard being 3" - says Aubrey :)

Noah's first time and he enjoyed it.

At the end of the day, we realized Avery didn't even make it to the cattle barn,
and neither did the rest of us. So no "annual cattle picture" this year.
