Birthday Fun!

On Friday at school, Steve had these flowers delivered. 

Then on my actua birthday it was a cold and wet day and we were all home. We spent the morning doing some deep cleaning with vacuuming and mopping floors.

I think Steve vacuumed every carpeted floor or rug in our whole house!

After Averys nap she said she had to go potty so Steve took her to the potty and sure enough, she went! Very first time! We've had the potty chair out to get used to it but weren't planning on really training until schools out. It was a nice surprise.

She got to pick out a sticker for her book!!

Lots of clapping and cheering and skittles too!

We ended up staying in, ordering Tasos for pick up and renting a couple movies.

Soccer, Twinsies, & Program

On Thursday, Aubrey had her third soccer game.

Daddy was at a track meet and it was cold and rainy BUT

Aubrey had a great game!

 Aubrey wanted to be "twinsies" with Mom (her words, not mine), on a school day

She also got to practice for her program...find stiped shirt in the front :)

           

Friday night was PROGRAM NIGHT!

Grandma Char got to come (and help get Aubrey's shoes on) ;)

Avery lasted about 20 minutes and then it was to the hallway

with a bunch of other two-year-old brothers and sisters who weren't cooperating.

I didn't mind since I had seen the program three times before.

she fell asleep for a short nap at the kitchen table before lunch.

Looks like she really needs to kick that blankie soon :)

Gymnastics

We decided that Aubrey will continue gymnastics through May and then she may be done.  She says she is sick of doing it every week. We will for sure take off this summer and reconsider in the Fall/Winter. Here are some pics of tonight's practice...kinda blurry since it was with Jen's phone. Enjoy! 

Tulips

I had a gift I was picking up in Pella tonight so we decided to make a quick night of it to Culvers and tip toe through the tulips. Not a good idea...girls were tired and cranky and ended up with crabby Mom and Dad. Here's our attempt at a few pics with tulips....fail.

Backyard Fun

What a beautiful sunny weekend to enjoy our new backyard with the play set and trampoline put together.

Tonight was a much nicer night for soccer. Half of practice was pictures today with our first game Thursday.
