Another Road Trip for Mommy and Aubs

Aubrey and I made another quick trip to Northwest Iowa for a few days. Steve had a team basketball camp over night and would be gone for a few days so we decided to road trip it, again! This time since Aubrey is getting way more active in the car, I decided to leave later in the day so she would sleep a couple hours at night which seemed to work great this time.

Getting into trouble . . .

It seems that little Miss Aubrey Dawn has been finding herself into more trouble lately.  

Which also means heading to the spare room for a time-out in her little chair.

Here is just a glimpse of what our days consist of lately :)

Aubrey finds herself VERY messy after each meal so I just throw her in the kitchen sink.

She thinks its great and we usually have to change her outfits several times a day.

Being cute with a mischievous grin BEFORE she gets into trouble :)

She likes to get my makeup out of the drawers and it's crazy that she knows what to do with it!  

When I am getting ready she just watches so intently. 

She always grabs the little tubes and pretends to put it on her eyes.

Finding trash/ripping up trash so she can throw it away!

She finds the trash cans in all the rooms...now I'm worried what she throws away!

Quite the helper she thinks she is :)

July Fun

Since it is still SO HOT, our days are filled with swimming, playing inside, and napping and that's about it! It's kind of a bummer because there are a few more things we wanted to do this summer but we really don't want to be outside in the extreme heat doing so. Anyway, here are a few pics with what we've been up to lately.

We've REALLY been enjoying a slow past couple of days of hanging out and relaxing. We got Aubrey in her little pool yesterday to prepare her for the Pella Aquatic Center which we plan to go sometime this week.

Little Stinker

I know I posted this on facebook, too but I do want to document it here as well! I have tried lots of things to get little stubborn Aubrey Dawn to drink milk out of ANYTHING but a bottle. Here I sat her down with ALL her choices and she chose NONE and chucked them across the room! The bottle had water in it and that has been her choice so far...I am hoping eventually she caves and wants her milk. 

I guess she is like me...STUBBORN!

Hanging Out

Since it's been so hot this past week (almost a week straight of 90-100 degrees), we decided it was a good excuse to hang out inside and really get settled in the new house...and learn about what cable tv is really like!

Sunday was much cooler so we 

spent some time outside in the new yard.

Aubrey now knows how to get herself 

into a standing position from the middle of the ground! Yay!

Now we have to test it out with water in it later on.
