Make-Up Time

Since Aubrey has been doing a good job of going #2 on the potty chair,

she was rewarded with some "make-up."

Which is basically a little pouch with about 5 lip glosses.

Needless to say, it gets all over her cheeks and eyes and lips.

She has been OBSESSED with it lately

and spending a lot of time with it.

Posing nicely with it on her lips and eyes :)

Opening and closing,

putting in each bag and doing it over and over.

It was awfully quiet this morning so I went to find her in her room.

She had the lights off and was laying in bed

with her lip gloss just hanging out.

Aubrey loves jumping on our bed.

One day she did this solid for about 15 minutes.

Translation:

Marion County Fair

Sunday after morning church we headed to the Marion County Fair in Knoxville.

Grandpa Craig and Grandma Char were there, and Kailey too.

Grandpa and Grandma got free carnival tickets

so they spoiled the girls.

Aubrey had fun jumping around.

Both girls climbed all the way to the top!

And slid down FAST!

Adventureland

We have been waiting for a nice day to go to Adventureland

and today was that day! It was absolutely perfect weather!

We arrived right before it opened at 10:00 at a nice 77 degrees

and left at 4:30 with about 85 degrees. WONDERFUL!

Steve used to go to Adventureland with his family, 

but it was Aubrey and my first time!

Aubrey was awake EARLY this morning,

so we were thankful she got a 30 minute nap on the ride up.

First stop, the TRAIN

We actually ran into some friends from Pella

and rode with them, too!

Aww, man, Aubrey and Daddy got SOAKED!

Thanfully Mommy only got a little wet :)

Yes, all THREE of use did the LOG RIDE!

Mommy was scared, so that made Aubrey scared, too - oops!

You can't see Aubrey's face very well, but it was priceless - SCARED!

It was a dark ride and a bit scary, but Aubrey

LOVED IT!

She kept saying, "More!"

AIRPLANES

At this point it was time for lunch - almost 1:00.

We went out to our car and had our picnic lunch in the car

and changed into our swimming suits and 

came back into the park around 1:30.

We decided to hit the FERRIS WHEEL

By this time it was WAY past Aubrey's naptime

but she did awesome!

By the time we left at 4:30 she was out!

Such a deep sleeper immediately! 

On the way home, we stopped

here for some ice cream in Monroe.

Yummy!
