FALLing in the leaves

Since it was a beautiful afternoon, 

we were outside enjoying the fall leaves :)

Autumn Acres

Today was the last day that Autumn Acres was open in Oskalooosa,

so we braved the 45 degree weather and went out for a few hours.

Even though it was COLD, we had a great time

and Aubrey didn't want to leave.

We spent a good 2 1/2 hours there but it was lunchtime

and we were hungry!

Deacon

Not a whole lot new going on around here.
We are just in the fall routine.

BUT, we had a congregational meeting last night
and Steve got "casted" as one of the next deacons.
They draw straws.
There were seven names with three men
getting picked and Steve was one of them.
It shall be a learning experience for all :)

Imagination

Aubrey's imagination is running wild lately.

I'm not sure if it's all her or if she is influenced by

some day care kids, but either way...wow!

We are always on the lookout for "King Triton"

you know, the Little Mermaid Ariel's father.

She has to call Ariel and say "We have a big problem!"

Then she goes and traps and untraps King Triton.

There is a safe and unsafe spot in the living room.

On the rug, we are safe in the castle, but the carpet

is the "ocean" (which sounds like "oh sh*t") lol

and we have to watch out.

Of course she makes sure we participate, too.

This. occurs. daily.

Today Steve informed her that King Triton

is good because it's Ariel's Daddy

and now we are on the lookout for Ursula.

Kidtoberfest

This year we decided to check out Kidtoberfest at the Oskaloosa

mall again this year.

It has gotten way bigger than last year with lots of acitvities

for kids and it's all FREE!

This time we took Grandma Char, Noah, Kailey and Sara too!

Petey

Tonight over supper 

Steve and I had the baby name book out

and we were trying to narrow down names...ugh!

Not fun! We are stuck right now.

Steve would say a name and I would probably veto

and suggest another instead.

Aubrey must have been paying attention because she pipes up,

"How about Petey?"

Lol.

Petey is a character off of Mickey Mouse

and she was very serious. 

We asked her if it was for a boy or girl

and she said both!

So, if you ask Aubrey, she wants her new siblbing

to be named...Petey :)
