Pink Out Win!

On Friday night, we had the Coaches vs. Cancer game vs. EBF

and they got their second win of the season!

It was a close game and the girls did it!

Here everyone is decked out in their pink gear!

Sick Avery

Avery threw up at the babysitters on Thursday morning so Steve was on Daddy duty for the day. She actually acted ok through out the day but wasn't eating and took two super long naps. 10 hours later from her first puke, she threw up again at suppertime...so bizarre.

We decided that Steve should stay home with her again on Friday just to make sure and get some food in her. She complained of tummy hurt and wasn't eating a lot either but overall the day was ok.

Saturday was maybe much of the same until suppertime again she threw up for a third time!   So strange since it had been 48 hours since her last puke. Time to bring her in.

Sunday morning we took her to the new Oskaloosa walk in clinic which is only two minutes from home and super convenient to be in and out and home in a half hour. We came home with three meds...one for infected ears and throat,  one for anti-nausea and one for acid reflux. 

Monday mommy is home with her and lets hope thats the end of it. So far so good.

Steve's first win!

After I decided not to blog a lot about Steve's basketball season this year,

Steve was disappointed that I didn't even document his first win!

So here it is, as requested by Coach Kaisand.

On Saturday night, they got their FIRST WIN of the season

against a North Mahaska team.

It was a late start at 7:30 which proved to be an even later night for the girls

but we managed.

I believe the final score was 61-39.

He could have played his starters a bit more and maybe even had a chance

for some records for some of the girls, but at the same time

it was a good game to allow all of the players some playing time

so no records set this game.

Way to go, team :)

Avery's sayings

Our sweet little Avery Leigh is a TALKER

and we hear it all the time from people who can't believe

she is not even 2 yet.

She consistently talks in 3-5 word sentences

in her sweet little voice that is too darling.

I would say she knows at least 100 words!

Sledding

It was a great afternoon to go sledding at the hill behind the high school. 

Steves phone died so didn't get as many pics as we wanted but we had a lot of fun! 

Aubrey was brave enough to go by herself and we were brave enough to send the girls down together, too.

Aubrey loved it this year and Avery kept saying "one more time" until she got cold and said "freezing." :)

Kaisand Christmas

On New Year's Day, we finally celebrated the Kaisand Christmas.

We were thankful we could all make it,

 after battling some stomach flu and some still-lingering colds.

We also had to watch the Rose Bowl game on tv 

since Iowa was playing, unfortunately they lost.
