Do the Zoo!

The weather has turned from sweltering to stunning and we took advantage today and hit the zoo in Des Moines.

We left around 11:00 and packed a lunch and decided to relax on the way there. Aubrey watched a movie...

And Avery took a 20 min nap

We discovered this part of the zoo that we never really explored before...not sure how we've always missed it before

Flooring Finished!

Thanks so much to Grandpa Betty and coming over several afternoons we can now say the kitchen/dining flooring is laid!

Making progress...

We decided to pause at the dishwasher and go ahead and order and install a new dishwasher while we were at it. It was already 16 years old and was doing a shotty job anyway.

We decided to go stainless...now to replace all the appliances in due time to match :) It runs so quietly and doesn't stink anymore!

Made it through the stove and frig fairly well

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to this guy - one of the best we think! 

After church, we celebrated with lunch at Grandma Betty's.

This was one of the first times that Hannah was ok sitting with Jen.

a LONG game of "SORRY". . .

. . . that caused this father to take a nap

And a birthday cake on his birthday Saturday.

The girls and Steve were at Grandma Char's

since Jen kicked them out for a paiting party ;)
