This year at the Iowa State Fair,
the bulls showed on Friday and the females on Saturday.
This meant that Steve went up Thursday night and us girls
did not meet them until Saturday morning since Aubrey
had Kindergarten Open House.
DAY 1:
the Kaisand Cattle lineup
Aubrey was excited to see the cows right away
While we were waiting for our cows to show,
we hit up some 4H working exhibits and other attractions.
We had to find a strawberry lemonade shake- up!
Aubrey has a little tradition going of getting a sticker book at the fair
getting them ready for the show
watching the show
Aunt Andrea showing
Daddy showing
the bull they showed got Reserve Champion on Friday
and then Steve and Andrea showed on Saturday
(Steve on the far right)
After the show, and lack of naps, we did Little Hands on the Farm
with the Palmer kids, Andrea, and Grandma Char
Kaisand farmer girls
the two youngest Kaisand cousins
getting their vegetables
the cousins enjoying their snack at the end
always have to hit up the fountain
Avery had to take baby doll Jordan along for the fair fun, too!
the girls had fun helping Daddy cleaning the mats
Aubrey liked to hang out with "Gemstone"
she was pretty proud
Mom gave in and get the girls go all the way into the fountain at night
Yup, they were SOAKED!
We all stayed overnight in the camper.
DAY 2:
We started off the day with church on the Fairgrounds and
then we got to explore the fair some more for the morning.

the girls and Daddy did go on the BIG SLIDE
but Mommy mostly got it on video
After lunch, we decided to head back to the camper
and take NICE NAPS!
Mommy took the girls the Little Hands
one more time, while everyone was taking down
and getting ready to go.

Waiting and saving our seats for the free concert
HAWK NELSON concert!
IT'S STARTING! HAWK NELSON!
DIAMONDS is a family favorite!!
Singing and dancing the night away!
FABULOUS night!
Aubrey says, "I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight!"
and "I'm never going to forget this night!"
(and it was true, NO ONE fell asleep on the way home and
didn't get to bed until 11:00)
