Vegas - Red Rock Canyon

On Sunday morning, we went exploring at the Red Rock Canyon 

the whole group did a little hiking 

the guys didn't last too long since the NFL was on - they are checking the scores here

so they guys went back to watch some football at the house 

and the ladies did more exploring

Vegas - The Strip & Fremont Street

On Saturday afternoon, we decided to be tourists and walk the strip

and see all the sights! I think we clocked about 12 miles in 6 hours!

On Sunday night, we went to the "old strip" - Fremont street - a different vibe 

It was somewhat enclosed and had zipliners above us 

We dressed up fancy and had a fancy meal :)

Vegas - Great Inflatable Race

On Friday, October 18, Steve and I flew out of Des Moines

for a direct flight to Las Vegas, NV for a Dordt college friends reuinion!

it had been almost 7 years since we had flown anywhere

we think this was Lake Mead near the Hoover Dam

On Saturday morning, most of the group participated in the

Great Inflatable Race - only 20 minutes from our rental house

They made it to the finish line with medals!
