Autumn Acres

 It was a BEAUTIFUL fall day to head out to Autumn Acres!

Since the girls won't be going on their class trips there this year,

we thought it was time to go as a family!

We also were thrilled to have family from VA and WA join us!

Daily things

Avery loves to climb, so Steve thought this would be a good idea :) 

The girls were painting rocks one day after school.

At school, a girl in Avery's class brought a puppy for show and tell - she loved it!

To replace the Iowa State Fair, there was a state simmental open show that Steve showed at.

The Wynias were in Pella for a wedding, so made a quick overnight stop at our house!

Our FIRST NIGHT as GEMS - Aubrey as a 4th grader and mom as a counselor for her class!

Labor Day

On Labor Day it was a nice day before a LONG, WEEK, of

much-needed rain. Steve as gone in Kansas, so the girls and I

headed to Lake Red Rock in Pella and did some biking!

It was so DRY - glad the rain came in the following days. This riverbank is supposed to be water from trees to trees.

We stopped several times and even stopped at the campground playground for a bit.
