Aubrey's 11th Golden Birthday!

On Aubrey's actually GOLDEN birthday, we didn't have school, but Steve did so it was a low-key hang out day at home mostly, which was nice, too! 11 on March 11!

She spent awhile on her birthday making a Shutterfly book from her Selfie-World pictures! 

Steve took the girls out for supper at Applebee's in Pella when he got home.

She even got sang to and a free birthday dessert! 

 

Avery's Birthday (Party)

On Saturday, March 12, Avery turned 8!

We were home for the morning with presents, then went to Sky Zone, Panda Express, and a little shopping after on her actual birthday! 

We had to open presents promptly at 7:00 a.m.

Aubrey got Avery bath bombs

She was surprised that I remembered she had wanted this stool. She liked it!

On Sunday afternoon from 2-5, Avery had a few friends over for a party, too!

First, it was making crafts! 

Then opening presents! 

We had to FaceTime a friend who was sick to watch :)

Selfie World

For Aubrey's GOLDEN BIRTHDAY party, we had Aubrey's group of friends over to our house for snacks and gifts before we headed to Des Moines to Selfie World. 

We knew there could be storms and it proved to be a pretty powerful storm, as we were in a tornado warning at Selfie World, but we never had to go in a storm shelter and the girls were blissfully unaware how bad the weather was as we were on the lower level of the mall and couldn't see out. The girls had a blast taking 400 pictures in about an hour. We then did a little shopping at Five Below and didn't make it to Target connected to the mall since it went down into their storm shelter. 

We were so thankful we never even drove in rain, and were kept safe throughout our time away! I had many texting moms, husbands, and friends to keep us updated with the weather to make sure we were safe! We then went to Perkins for supper and overall, had a great time!
