Trick or Treat

On the Friday night before Halloween, Oskaloosa did their Mahaska Drug Autumn Fest

and the town did trick or treating that evening from 6-8 pm.

Avery and I did Mahaska Drug while Steve and Aubrey were at basketball practice,

we then grabbed a pizza and all went out (chilly!) for the evening around town. 

 

Night Eyes

It had been almost 5 years since we had gone to Night Eyes at the Des Moines Blank Park Zoo,

but we scored $5 tickets and the weather was great!

We decided to leave at 5:30, hit Chik-Fil-A on the way and actually be there in the dark.

We scored a close parking spot, even though it was super busy! 

We had time to ride the train and walk the candy trails. 

 

Autumn Acres

On a windy fall day, Aubrey had to work with Steve on the farm

so Avery and Mom decided to take on Autumn Acres together.
