Snow Days #3- #5

 The January Blizzard of 2024 kept us out of school for 5 days, with lots of cancelled plans, closed roads, drifting, and stuck inside for far too long, with over 2 feet of snow and -35 wind chill.

I tried to teach the girls some baking and cooking skills.

Lots of playing games and playing inside.

We tried to go to the Iowa State game and made it to Pella and turned around. The roads were okay, it was the blowing snow that made visibility very difficult. At the time we tried to go, we later learned that they were pulling the plows, so it was wise to turn around, but we were so bummed!

Snow Days #1 and #2

Before it gets REALLY cold, we were able to "enjoy" our two back-to-back

snow days this week with playing in the snow!

Avery was pretty pleased with her gifts this year!

Disney was not our gift, we but did get shirts to go to Disney on Spring Break!

Steve needed socks and was super pleased!

Of course they had to put on a Christmas dance for us!

Avery was hoping for an ipad to share, but instead it was a phone for Aubrey.

Jen's gifts: shirt, straightener brush, Disney shirt, coupons, magnet, and ornaments.

Avery's gifts: doll dog set, doll pajamas set, Minnie backpack, Disney shirt, watch, mini Kerplunk, tangles fidgets, and polaroid film.
