Snow Day

After having no significant snowfall all year, we got dumped on about 8 inches this week,
that resulted in 2 snow days this week.

ISU with Miss VK/Friends

Aubrey had "won" a school prize for Women's Basketball tickets and
decided to take all of her friends with her to introduce her to "Hilton Magic!"
We went on Saturday, February 8.
We took a long ways to get to Ames as we had to pick up each person, and then
swap Avery for Aubrey at the Beef Expo in Des Moines on the way.

We stopped at a rest stop outside of Ames so that they could change into their ISU apparel
that Aubrey provided them all with and put on their ISU stickers.

The girls got on the big screen a few times with their pictures and videos - always exciting!

Of course we had to introduce them all the Clone Cones, as well :)

Thanks to Miss VK for the prize and coming along, also introducing to "Hilton Magic"

YAY - we found Cy...the girls didn't want to get too close - except for Aubrey :)

Aubrey trying to get on the "buff cam" - didn't work ;)

Final score - ISU WINS!

We ate a Chik-Fil-A after the game - what a great day!

ISU Spirit Day Clinic

On Saturday, January 25, Avery got to participate in the Iowa State Spirit Day Clinic in Ames, as part of her Christmas gift. The practice was from 11:00 - 1:00 at their practice gym and then performed at the Women's basketball game at 4:00 that afternoon. Avery and I went early together and then did some shopping in between and then Steve and Aubrey met us for the game later, as Aubrey had a bad cough and they wanted to check out some sale heifers at the Iowa State Fairgrounds!

Avery was unsure at the beginning...

These 2 cheerleaders were the leaders of her group.

The practice facility...ISU

She changed and got ready in a JCPenney dressing room :)

We met up at the game!

We got our Clone Cones before the half-time show!

It's always a good day when you find CY for a picture!

CY was teasing Avery with her pom-poms.

Getting ready to do her CHEERS!

She did a good job, even though she was nervous! It was a good experience!
