Church Christmas Program

The girls had their church Christmas program this morning!

ALMOST had her in a matching outfit...just need the black shoes
instead of the cowboy boots.

Avery took this picture of us..could have zoomed in :)

Aubrey took this one and could have zoomed in a lot ;)

Avery was walking in with her Sunday School teacher Mrs. Marcia

Avery ringing the bells (the front left)

Aubrey singing in her program, "Follow the Star"
(black top on the left)

Avery liked to sing along to the songs since she had them learned, too.

Grandma Char came to watch and have lunch with us!

Cookies & Canvas

Today Aubrey and I tried out the
"Cookies and Canvas" event in Oskaloosa!
We had so much fun!

Aubrey was a bit nervous at first :)

Santa came during "dry time"

Different Santa - same joke..."Do you want your two front teeth for Christmas?!"

She was very creative with the scarf!
Change the color and added cherries - all her idea.

Mahaska Drug Christmas

Our nice little Mahaska Drug store
had some fun free Christmas activities going on this afternoon,
so we stopped on by and weren't disappointed!

Avery thought it would be fun to wear their Christmas dresses,
so I let them IF they took pictures in front of the tree for me!

reality

They were giving away free ice cream, too!

Santa asked her if she wanted her two front teeth :)

Avery didn't want to do Santa last year, but this year she was all smiles.
She told him she didn't know what she wanted for Christmas.

BIG SMILES for Poppy and Olaf.

They also had a little craft table where you could do an ornament
while waiting for their pictures to develop.

Aubrey colored this for their coloring contest.
She's convinced she'll win...we will see!

Merry Little Downtown Christmas

Our town does a fantastic job celebrating Christmas with the annual
Lighted Christmas parade and new this year, the
"Merry Little Downtown Christmas!"
The weather was so nice for a parade and carriage ride!

the Courthouse

Grandma Char got to come with us to the parade on Thursday.

This was DECEMBER 2 weather - WHAT?!

Saturday night was more fun on the Square
with Santa, characters, elves and carriage rides!

We waited in line for an hour and a half for the ride!
The girls entertained themselves by running around
and laying on benches.

The wait is finally over!
(for about 5 minutes of riding around the square!)
