Aubrey's Words and Actions - video!

Tonight in the bath Aubrey was extra talkative so I decided to catch some of it on camera. Here are SOME of the things she knows how to do and say! I forgot a LOT of things as I was looking back, but here is a glimpse of our sweet Aubrey Dawn!

Jumping to Daddy

Before bedtime, Aubrey and Daddy occasionally have some bonding time, 

which usually involves getting wound up not calming down for the night :)

Tonight it was jumping to Daddy off the hassock!

THEN, she decided she wanted to take her baby along with her, too!

Story Time at the Library

Since our evenings are often filled without Daddy since he is at basketball practices, 

I decided to try out the Story Time at the Public Library.

They do it for the 0-3 age group every Thursday night at 6:00.

I decided to take Aubrey for some Mommy and Aubrey time and she did GREAT!

She sat all by herself in the little chair, ate her snack, colored a picture, and played with the toys!

She even clapped when she was having fun and blurted out a few things of excitement in her native tongue :)

I can't believe she is already this big to do such fun things! (tear)

The theme was Red, White, and Blue 

so they read some patriotic books and she got to color a page, too!

So sweet!

A Pirate and a Waldo go Scavenging

On Saturday night we hung out with Steve's teacher friends for a "Halloween Extravaganza!" 

We were supposed to dress up in a costumes. 

First we met for supper at Dr. Salamis.

Then we were split into teams of three or four and went on a picture/video scavenger hunt around Oskaloosa!

We had a great time finding things such as...

road kill

a creepy house

the "Ghostbusters" car

pay for $0.13 of gas with 13 pennies...just to name a few!

It was a fun night!

"Uh Oh" Goldfish

I gave Aubrey a few goldfish in a bowl. The next thing I knew, she snuck the bag and decided that she wanted a few more. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

PS - Sorry for the crazy hair and socks and outfit of lots stripes - it was Saturday :)

Trick or Treat

Aubrey was so excited when I put her costume on right before it was time to go. 

She ran around solid for quite a bit just giggling and posing with "cheese."

Aubrey was having fun waiting in line, until we saw that GORILLA FACE guy!

It actually was my babysitter, Lisa's son! Aubrey was TERRIFIED of him! (lol)

She screamed for a solid three blocks until she finally was able to walk ahead of him or behind him so she wouldn't look at him! Steve and I were very close to giving up and going home. But then after some bribing with candy, I guess, she then just got scared of him but wasn't bawling her eyes out. Oh dear!

Daddy even got to come along since he didn't have anything after school! Fun!

(Oh, for those of you who don't know; we went up to the Oskaloosa Square and they have a 

Halloween parade where you walk around the square and into the mall.

You just follow the line and the businesses hand out the candy. There were a TON of people,

but it only took about 1 hour (in the daylight) and we had tons of fun doing it.

We made it! Aubrey and Daddy with all her loot!

I can't imagine how much candy some families come home with, with SEVERAL kids buckets full!

Since Grandpa Craig was in the hospital in Pella because of his leg infection, 

we decided to stop by and say hi in Aubrey's costume, too after the Oskaloosa parade!

She had a great time messing with all of the buttons, exploring the cupboards, and messing around in the curtain.

Weekend

This weekend my Mom and Dad come up for the weekend. Since we all can't go up there for Thanksgiving they decided to come here to hang out with us for the weekend. 

Friday included Grandpa and Grandma watching Aubrey while we were at school. Steve was gone Friday and part of Saturday for a coaches clinic so it was nice to have some company. Saturday included shopping for the girls and yard work for the guys! 

Unfortunately we really didn't take a lot of pics from the weekend, except for these quick shots before church for a potential Christmas card pic. These are just a few of the more candid ones. There is one shot to prove Grandpa and Grandma VG were here!
