Sorry for the lack of pics lately. We just haven't been up to a lot
other than the daily grind and my camera is a bit on the fritz.
Anyway, here are a few "Aubrey-isms" stories that you might find enjoyable.
1-"This Girl is on FIIIRREE!"
There is a song by Alicia Keys that sings, "This girl is on Fire!" and
Aubrey must have picked up on my singing it occasionally.
Just recently Steve introduced Aubrey to the Wii
game Mario Cart. One of the levels had fire, so naturally
Aubrey belts out, "This girl is on FIIRREEE!"
Because her girl "Peach" was driving through the fire.
So stinkin' cute :)
2-"Much Better, Daddy"
The terrible twos are in full swing the with temper tantrums
and wanting things her way. Well, just tonight
she was refusing to listen and follow directions.
She wanted to take 6 markers and a coloring book
to go potty and we said NO, but she refused
and started walking to the potty anyway.
So Steve told her that she was going to get a spanking.
So she said, OK!
Steve swatted and she turns around with a huge cheesy smile
and says, "Much better, Daddy!"
She drops her markers and book and heads straight to the potty!
WHAT?!
I feel like she is exactly how I was for my parents
and now it's payback...oh my, what a sassy pants!
3-"Ouch, I need a bandage!"
Aubrey has recently found an old pack of band-aids
and has been calling them "bandages."
She decided to take them outside while she was playing hopscotch
just in case she might need them.
She then decided that it would be fun to
pretend that she would get hurt while hopscotching.
So she'd go through the whole thing,
fall down on the ground,
and say, "Ouch, I need a bandage"
and Steve would come play Dr.
and put the "bandages" on her leg...pretend, not really sticking.
This went on for quite some time...interesting ;)
