On Saturday, Steve and I got some great tickets to the Iowa State football game vs. Kansas. Since Kansas' stadium is being renovated, they play a few games at Arrowhead, so we had to take advantage of that! Grandpa and Grandma VG came following a trip from Michigan, and were able to stay with the girls for the whole day while we went there and back in one day. The game started at 2:30. We left at 9:00 am and were home by 10:15 pm.
The stadium was lit up by the end of the game!
It was a bummer that ISU lost, as we were hoping for a win!
Final score: 36 - 45. We left with a couple minutes left so we were heckled ;)
We had seats on the 3rd row from the field - it was awesome! NO ZOOM!
Our ISU Coach Matt Campbell
Our ISU quarterback, Rocco Becht
It was raining the whole way there, but about 30 minutes from the stadium, the clouds opened up and sun came out and it turned out to be a nice 60 degree day, although we had seats in the shade.
We stopped at Raising Cane's and grabbed some lunch in the car on the drive over.
