Avery's Goats

On Saturday, Blake delivered Avery's 2 meat goats that she is going to have for her 4H project and keep though the summer to show.

Grandparent's Day

It was the last year that both girls would be in the same elementary building for Grandparent's Day. Since neither of them were in the musical, they just got to hang out for an hour in the classrooms after watching the musical. They came on a Thursday night, so we basically had all of Friday together and then they left early Saturday morning for Michigan to visit Grandma VG on her 97th birthday.

PICS IN REVERSE ORDER

We ate at TRIO for supper - yummy!

I got a gift card to Scooter's and perfume from Sephora from Mom and Dad

I got the game "Tapple" from Steve and the girls

They brought the gifts and balloon and Jaarsma coffee cake in to celebrate.

We had a lot of fun playing pickleball together - swapping teams of 2 on 2. I was the only one that remained undefeated for the whole hour of play :)

Aubrey got pickle ball paddles and balls for her birthday from G and G VG so we were more than happy to test them out! It's fun that any age can play!

Easter

We had a nice Easter break we had off of school on Good Friday and Easter Monday, but just stuck around at home and had a family lunch on Sunday.

On Monday we dyed and colored and decorated the foam/plastic eggs.

Aubrey played her saxophone at church on Sunday morning, for possibly her last time since she does not plan to continue playing saxophone in high school.

On Saturday, we did an egg hunt around our yard.

When Aubrey was at the farm, Avery and I made robin egg nests as a fun Easter treat.

The Easter bunny was not there at the time, but I made Avery pose by the display at Mahaska Drug.

On Friday that we didn't have school we went to the King of Kings movie at TRIO.

District 5 Track Meet

On Monday, April 14 on a VERY WINDY and chilly day, we had the District 5 Track Meet at Lacey Stadium. It was a family affair as Steve was the head timer, the girls both participated and I was the 5th/6th grade clerk to check in the kids for the races. Did I mention it was WINDY?!

Steve as timer and Avery ready for her relay.

Great hand-off Raegan to Avery!
