Steve and I took a little trip without the girls to CHICAGO!
The girls stayed with Grandma Char and Grandpa Craig - THANK YOU
and Aubrey even got to go to Tracy VBS during that time.
We left on Monday morning around 8:00 and headed straight to the city.
We dropped off our car at a cheap Park N Ride and rode the Red Line in.
First stop - Jen's old school - Stockton Elementary
Turns out this school collaborated with another...but we still found it!
It's now called "Courtney Langage Arts"
Walking back to the Red Line train
2nd stop - John Hancock building
We went to the 95th floor (not the top)
since it was a cheaper option. Still great views!
(this was from the women's restroom!)
Signature Lounge - don't have to pay to go up,
you just have to purchase one thing per customer!
3rd stop - taking the Red Line back to our car
and we took a quick pit stop to check out Wrigley Field!
On the phone with Aubrey waiting for the Red Line back to our car
We drove back downtown to check into our hotel!
We knew it was small, but I KEPT hitting my knee on the corner of the bed!
Getting our directions to get to the White Sox Game
"Hotel Felix" downtown where we stayed
We rode the Red Line straight to the ballpark - so easy and convenient!
Steve had never been to a game here before,
even though it is his favorite baseball team :)
There was a SWEET play!
The White Sox guy hit it right on the edge for a homerun and
this Rays guy missed it - he was so sad :)
End of Day 1:)
