Spring Break sure did not feel like spring, with the yucky
snowy/icy/sloshy weather we had to drive in.
The girls and I decided to leave right after our noon dismissal on Thursday
and drove through mostly rain the whole way - we were glad it wasn't ice and snow....yet!
I surprised them with an early bday gift in the van....the movie SING 2
The snow was melting on the roads, but it stuck to the propeller.
When we got to Gpa and Gma's house the Wynias were there for supper and games.

Avery has been having a hard time falling asleep without worrying, so I spent some time in her room.
We woke up to this - YUCK!
The Van Grouws were here to play in the morning with us.
We went out to visit Curt at the Old Parlor and Aubrey put this in front of her :)

We went over that later afternoon to have a March birthdays party at the Wynias.

HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY, AUBREY DAWN!
We have a tradition of decorating their room door on their birthday,
so we had to decorate Grandma's spare room instead this time.
We had a VERY SNOWY drive to Orange City to watch Camryn's volleyball tournament and of course we had to get Aubrey her Scooter's drink.
The snow delayed us a bit, but we were able to watch a few games that Camryn played.
We grabbed Subway for lunch to wait for the snow to stop.
YAY - the roads were only wet....for now!
All of a sudden on 880 the rain turned to ICE! BOOOOOO! Avery was getting carsick and our travel suddenly was not so fun and became long and tiresome!
Our plan as to meet Steve in Des Moines for Aubrey's birthday supper but due to weather we just decided to get home asap - which took over an hour longer than it should have :(
YUCK - sick of this drive home!!!!!!!
YAY - We finally made it back to Oskaloosa and met Steve
at Mi Ranchito for Aubrey's birthday supper.
She got a sweatshirt

And she got sang to with dessert and a sombrero!
This slosh is sickening!
And home later that night to decorate for Avery's birthday tomorrow!
