Marion County Fair

We WERE going to try to brave the heat to watch the Dixson girls show their horses

at the Marion County Fair in Knoxville,

but due to the mud and heat, the show was postponed to Wednesday.

We did stay for lunch at the camper and a HOT attempt at some of the inflatables

but we didn't last long in the heat.

We knew Caitlyn was showing Caden in the baby contest 

so we decided to stick around and randomly entered Avery in it too.

She was not prepared in any way and was hot, sweaty, tired, and full of sunscreen

but we thought since it was in the A.C. we might as well give it a try :)

She was so sleepy and snuggly

We had to share their name, age, and what they enjoy

Avery, age 16 months (today!) and likes to get into her sister's stuff

and suck her thumb :)

There were about 9 different categories they were judged on,

such as cutest smile, eyes, cubbiest cheeks, best outfit, most energetic...

We didn't expect much, but it still was kind of fun!

She spent her time up there just waving to the crowd and saying "HI!"

Then it was the siblings' turn - Aubrey said

"Avery is my sister and I love her very much" -

she got up there all by herself ;)

She got some bubbles too

Caden won "Most Energetic" 

Avery won, too! "Most Energetic"

YAY!

The 13-24 mo old winners - for the newspaper
