RV/TV

RV/TV is when the WHO Channel 13 news crew comes out the week before the Iowa State vs. Iowa football game and tailgates at various towns the week before the big game.
This year Oskaloosa was the Wednesday stop and we came out for it! There was a lot of activities going on with food trucks, concerts, activities and the city band.

Keith Murphy interviewing Andrew, a new Iowa bball recruit

The main reason we came out was for Audi Crooks and Emily Ryan - ISU Women's bball players

Checking out the Cy-Hawk trophy up for grabs

They were passing out free Bubbler so Avery had to check it out

We were THRILLED to get to talk, get autographs and pics with these ISU ladies!

We waited in line for 45 minutes (to be the first ones) - worth it!

It was also dress-up day at school so we went all out in support of ISU!
(and by the way.....CYCLONES beat the Haweyes!)

Concert on the Square

The Saturday of Labor Day weekend, our town has hosted the Concert on the Square, bringing in a FREE CHRISTIAN CONCERT! This year was Cochren & Co. It was also supposed to be Ben Fuller but he was ill, so they sent Consumed By Fire, instead. It was a beautiful night!

Steve went early Saturday morning to reserve our spots :)

We all were encouraged to wear our new OC apparel - Aubrey and her friends.

It was a GREAT crowd - they estimated about 10,000 people!

First Day of School

Friday, August 23 was the first day back to school for the 2024-2025 school year!
We got a drone and the whole OC school and got the same shirt and took a pic outside!
Very sunny, but very fun!

Joe Hoksbergen was hired to rebrand our school with logos and he even came to the first day of school and drew our new Crusader guy live during chapel - very cool! Thanks, Joe!
