End of Winter

The girls both wanted "curly" hair for Valentine's Day, so
we put braids in after their baths.

Aubrey took her braids out in the morning and had cute, kinky hair!

Avery decided to leave them in and accessorize with bows.

Aubrey and her friends made a snowman at school recess.

Valentine roses from Dad - the tradition continues.

(new V-day shirts from Grandma VG)

Avery finally made it out this winter long enough to "build" a snowman.

A Friday off of school meant a trip to Pella with Aubs,
while Avery stayed at the babysitter!

Daddy-Daughter dance!
"presenting Aubrey!"

Aubrey was SO EXCITED
and Avery looked on in jealousy! :(

Awww, poor Avery.

dancing the night away!

Avery chose to spend her evening with Mommy at McDonalds.

out for supper at Applebee's

Aubrey did the Pella Christian Dance Camp on Saturday

She LOVED dancing and performing, especially with pom poms.

This was Avery's dance moves. . . we have some work to do with her :)

Sunday evenings have become pay-day for the girls and the jobs
they are supposed to do each week.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE our Roomba! Game. Changer. For real!
Here the girls entertain themselves with their MLP and see how long
they stay on the Roomba while it is cleaning.

Ahhhh, a small taste of spring in late February - yes, please!

Aubrey knows exactly when Mom needs a note like this.
She is such a sweetie!

Winter

It's been YEARS since we've had snow like this!
The girls don't remember seeing this much!
In the course of a week, I think we totaled nearly 17 inches!
Thankfully Steve goes out and scoops it all by hand.

I take two minutes to bring in the groceries and Avery hops on the counter
and helps herself to some Oreos. BUSTED!

While Aubrey was at her basketball practice,
Avery and I hung out at the church's cafe in the dark and had a picnic supper.

LOTS of playing outside in the snow this week, even though it's been cold, too.

Even Avery played outside a few days this week for a short time.

*Super Bowl half time dance show*

Avery's gymnastics are paying off - headstand!

In their words "FARMER girl and FANCY girl"

Culver's for supper

Oh, Ave!

Avery doing snow angels

They trudged through the deep snow and went sledding
down our hill past our front yard swing-set.

Aubrey's pen pal came to visit and watch her play her Upward Basketball game!
