Halloween

On Halloween Beggar's Night in Oskaloosa, they always hold their trick or treating on a Thursday before Halloween. Steve was sick that night so he wasn't able to take Avery, so Grandma Char came to trick or treat with her, while Aubrey and I were at Peoria for a book fair that evening!

Thankfully, the girls used their imaginations and had their own trick or treating
in our backyard with stations with their dolls on Wednesday - so creative!

Aubrey at the Peoria Book Fair with me - she did great and was a huge help with cleanup -
but we did get kicked to this corner for a bit while there was conferences in the library.

On Saturday Aubrey was at a corn maze with her friends, so Avery and I did the drive-through trick or treating at Nelson Pioneer Farm - she dressed up and we stayed in the van.

We had to be one of the first 31 cars to get this goody bag and we were - YAY!

On Saturday night, actual Halloween, I took the girls to New Sharon and we got quite a haul in just 40 minutes - at the church and the square - very fun!

Meeting Waylon

We finally were able to head up to Northwest Iowa to meet our newest baby cousin, Waylon! We also got to hang out with all the cousins and family up there!

The pictures are in reverse, but oh well!

Camryn, Aubrey, Avery and Waylon on Sunday afternon

There was snow at the rest stop on the way home!

Sunday morning

Avery and Lennon

We had a fall birthday party for Dakota and Boden
so we needed ALL TEN cousins on the couch for the first time!

It was cold, but most of us went out to Fields of Fun for a bit of fun before the rain came!
Aubrey and Lennon

Aubrey is officially the TALLEST Van Grouw cousin....for now :)

We mastered the kiddie corn maze!

Grandpa and Grandma with most of the grandkids - too cold for Waylon!

Lots of Waylon cuddles, while he sleeps and doesn't cry :)

It was a gorgeous morning for a fall bike ride in Rock Valley!

On Friday after school, we were able to surprise the Wynias and pick them up
from school. We then were able to watch Camryn play her club volleyball game.

Donuts after school at Casey's Bakery in the mall

On Friday morning we went to Jessica's house and played with Dakota and Lennon and got a tour of their outside barns and pumpkin patches.

Checking out Uncle Curt's new freezer for the Old Parlor Meat Company.

On Thursday after an early dismissal from school, the girls and I were able to drive up and finally get to meet the newest cousin, Waylon!

On our way to head up to Northwest Iowa after being away for a LONG TIME due to COVID!
