4th of July

We spent the 4th of July morning at the Bussey parade.

Then we spent the afternoon swimming at home.

We grilled at home and had s'mores for dessert.

We watched a movie outside, too!

We did sparklers at home earlier and later when it was dark, too.

We hopped in the back of the pick up and watched the Oskaloosa fireworks 

near the baseball fields of William Penn.

 

Van Grouws visit

Josh & Jessica made a quick unexpected visit for a Dude Perfect concert,

so they stopped by our house to stay before and after.

We visited the Environmental Learning Center

to see the wooly mammoth bones

We went to Smash Park and had fun playing pickle ball and other games

We kept Lennon for supper and bedtime while the others went 

to the Dude Perfect concert

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad VG - 41 years

 

Steve's 40th/Father's Day

While the girls were camping at the cousin campout at Red Rock,

Steve and I went around the area looking for a new mattress for Aubrey.

We ended up in Iowa City and ate lunch at Hu-Hot.

Living the dream - getting a mattress!

Avery said she could beat dad in a race now that he's "old" - Steve did beat her!

Birthday/Father's Day lunch at Red Rock

On Monday, we had a little party at home for Steve.

Steve picked "The Rib Shack" for his birthday supper - good choice!
