Clay County Fair

Once again, these pictures are in reverse order. On Thursday we drove up to NWI right after school. Friday was SHOW DAY at the Clay County Fair all day. On Saturday, we picked pumpkins at the VG's, played with cousins, had a fall birthday party, and the girls had a sleepover at Grandma's with their girl cousins. They also got to go to church with us at Grandma's house.

Camryn & Aubrey

Probably the last time there are only 10 in the picture, #11 will be joining this December!

Fun at Van Grouw Acres - we were her first customers this fall to pick pumpkins!

A well-deserved treat at the end of a very busy day showing - Dippin' Dots!

Avery leading Raven one more time

Aubrey saying "goodbye" to Serenity since she will go out to pasture when we get home!

The Kaisand Cattle crew + Grandma Van Grouw

Now THAT'S a lot of ribbons!

Avery and Aubrey side by side with Serenity and Raven

Working hard with Dad looking on to help.

There's a quick smile from Avery!

Kaisand Cattle all lined up for the Best of Five - Char, Craig, Andrea, Aubrey, Avery & Steve

Aubrey with Serenity

Steve and Andrea went in for best pair - Raven and Eliza

Craig and Aubrey in the best pair - Sterling and Serenity

Steve with Valor the bull

Eliza and Raven for division judging

Steve showing Eliza since she's just been too jumpy for Aubrey

Going back in with Raven

Raven got 1st in her class!

Aubrey did so well with Serenity - definitely her favorite heifer of the summer!

Aubrey showed Sterling for the first time - she did great!

Look at that nice position to make sure the judge has a good look when he walks by!

Avery showing Gma VG Raven before it's GO TIME!

Aubrey always tries to get a little fitting practice - still LOTS to learn for that.

Fair food for lunch (after a morning of rain!)

We left Thursday after school, but were delayed when the bulls got out at the Bussey farm, so we didn't get to NWI after 9:00

Concert on the Square

On the Saturday before Labor Day, our town has a FREE Concert on the Square. This year we were thrilled with the artists they brought it!

Friday Night Fire Band - a local worship team from a church in New Sharon - very good!

The place was PACKED! They have food trucks and music going from 6 - 10 pm!

Josh Wilson! Incredible talent as a stand alone artist who does ALL his own music through his guitar and looping it back through the speaker. Very talented!

Fun with friends and front row fun!

Britt Nicole!!

She was AMZING and interacted great with the kids in the front. We had glow sticks to make it even more fun!

She held lots of kids hands and Aubrey got a quick hold, but Avery was disappointed she didn’t ;)

Avery Cheer/Tumbling

Avery has committed to a performance cheer team through Transform Academy for July- December. She has really found her niche where she can do her tumbling and dance and lifts that fits her flexible body perfectly! She’s had blast so far and even more fun since it is with a good friend!

After practice, the girls fit in a night of mini-golf which is right by the Transform Academy gym.

Avery really liked the UNI college girl Carson’s help with cheer for the summer!
