NWI Trip

We wanted to do a quick trip to Northwest Iowa to celebrate mom and dad’s 40th anniversary, but due to some sickness, plans had to change, but we were able to fit in swimming, flower party, a parade and Thunder Road.

we grabbed Mc D’s for breakfast on the road

We met the Wynias and grandma at Siouxnami waterpark in Sioux Center

We had fun trying the zip line, a unique adventure as the only one into water in Iowa.

The water was a little chilly, but we still had fun in the sun!

After the waterpark, we headed to Josh & Jessica’s for swimming in their pool.

How many people does it take to set up the game?

We ordered pizza in for a picnic outside.

Jessica had us do a bouquet to basket event where we picked our own flowers from her garden and made our own bouquets. So fun!

After that, we had s’mores by the fire.

On Saturday, we went to Doon for their summer parade to help Curt promote Old Parlor Meat Company by wearing shirts and passing out candy.

That night, those of us that were healthy, went out to eat at Red Robin and to Thunder Road for mini golfing, go carts and trampoline jumping.

Aubrey was a little uneasy about driving her own fast go kart but she did awesome!

Avery didn’t want to do go karts so she did trampoline jumping instead.

Our bouquets made it home!
