Branson, MO

We were thrilled to take a little vacation with us four to Branson, Missouri July 9-12. It was the first time all of us had been there together.

We left on time Saturday morning to make the quick trip before our adventures began.

Avery loves to pack all the things to make traveling a breeze.

We needed a quick treat from a famous Missouri custard place - Freddy’s.

Before even checking in to our condo, we headed straight to the Sight and Sound Theatre!

We were thrilled to get tickets to the live action JESUS show with live actors, live animals and great special effects behind a massive screen!

It was a 2 1/2 performance but the girls did great and stayed entertained.

At intermission they both picked out a souvenir - Aubrey got a keychain and Avery got a bookmark.

After the snow, we grabbed some fast food and headed on to our condo’s pools! It was hot and a nice night for a swim.

We found this condo on VRBO and it worked out quite nicely for what we needed!

Eating breakfast at the condo before a big day out!

This was the golf resort where we had our condo.

Sunday morning we headed out to Silver Dollar City for a full day of rides and sun fun!

It was nice to take the tram over from the parking lot.

There were some fun water rides that we got wet on, but we were okay with it since it was so hot!

We got a drink cup that we kept refilling all day with pop, lemonade, and icees.

Aubrey braved all the wild and fast coasters with Steve!

We cooled off while we ate lunch and watched this amazing circus act - world famous right rope walkers!

At the end of our day we toured the Marvel Cave on site! It was so cool, literally, and quite a cave to hike through right at Silver Dollar City.

Avery and I would wait in the shade with a drink, while Aubrey and Steve would ride the big rides.

That night we headed to Hook & Ladder for a unique pizza experience.

On our way back to our condo we found a cool overlook spot with a great view right at sunset.

On Monday since it was supposed to be SO HOT we decided to headed to the beach by 9 am. We spent the morning and lunch there before we were too hot and came home to shower, nap and AC for a bit.

We ventured downtown to some fun gift shops.

We ended up at Brandon’s Landing for a great fountain show with music and fire!

We then had supper at he famous Paula Deen’s restaurant.

This was the first time the girls experienced a huge buffet like this!

Even though it was SO HOT, we braved some mini golf at Pirate’s Cove!

And of course, one last chance to cool off in the condo pool for a night swim!

Af tee showers, the girls had a glow stick dance party and may have lost a stick or two on the neighbors balcony! Ha!

On our last morning, we hopped over to the new Aquarium! It was a quick two hours, but had some fun features!

There was even a pretty good fountain show in front of the aquarium!

On our way home we stopped at the famous Lambert’s Cafe for lunch, and experienced the rolls thrown at us and lots of good food!

It was a quick four days, but such a great time together!
