We decided to make a crazy one day trip, from Oskaloosa to Ocheyedan and back in Des Moines for Grandma Post’s visitation. We were a bit concerned of driving through the rainy/stormy weather, but the trip was great!
The girls took their penny spinners to entertain the cousins at the visitation.
We were glad to meet up with some people at the visitation - Annette’s parents.
The girls traveled amazingly and we made it to the camper at the State Fair by 11:00!
SHOW DAY!
Miss VK came to watch Aubrey show, too!
Aunt Sara was around for the weekend, too!
First up - Serenity - she got 6th out of 10!
It was a LONG show day, so we ventured out in the rain for treats in between classes. Watermelon!
Next up, Raven’s fist time in the ring - a little jumpy, but the show ring hell was awesome and she got 3rd out of 9! Best we’ve ever done!
Last up - Eliza - she wanted to run again and got a little spooked. The ring helped again, she hung on and did fine, too. We decided that was the last time Aubrey is showing Eliza.

We’ll that’s a convenient way to travel.

Ice cream once again, as a reward for all!
We al slept in the camper for two days and we were able to take in the Fair fun on Sunday morning together.
We the girls and Stev enjoyed being on Ag game show.
While Steve tore down and sent the cattle home, the girls and I watched the finals of the Talent Show. This flame throwing baton girl won it all!
While waiting in line for supper, Steve caught the turkey stand grill on fire! It was a bit of an ordeal, but thankfully no injuries.
We found out the girls and I were on IPTV when we were watching the Talent Show :)
And the reason we stayed all Sunday…..Anne Wilson live in concert on the free stage! Great singer! The girls had a blast in the front!
And that was a wild weekend! One day to recover before school starts!
