Leaves!

Yes, the leaves are FALLING! 

And our yard is full of them! 

Daddy did a quick rake for Aubrey's pile!

We haven't done anything with our leaves yet,

BUT our lovely neighbor has mowed/bagged them 

TWICE this weekend for us :)

Avery has started pulling herself up to her knees

and likes to climb up anything/one :)

Combine Time

Tonight we headed out to Grandpa and Grandma Betty's farm

to get to ride in the combine for the first time

(for Mommy and Aubrey).

It was a nice evening and we spent about an hour and a half

watching the process.

First it was Aubrey and Mommy who 

got to ride along with Grandpa

but Mommy was very eager to learn about the process)

Avery had to stay back in the tractor with Grandma Betty

I think it's better for the cows than people, Aubrey :)

We got to also watch the corn go from the combine to the wagon,

the wagon to the auger, and the auger to the bin.

And, of course a little "LET IT GO" on the ride home. 

Night Eyes

Saturday afternoon we headed out to Des Moines

with Grandma Char to check out the Night Eyes

at the Blank Park Zoo.

We got early tickets so it was only $3/person - 

not bad for some trick or treating, Fun Zone, and a look at the animals.

What does Aubrey want to be when she grows up?

A farmer? A fireman? A doctor?

There was also a FUN ZONE with some inflatables!

Aubrey got to go down this 2 times :)

Clearly, she loved it!

 We ended the day with supper at Red Robin, yummmmm!
