Thanksgiving Break

In opposite ordering of happening - here's what we did over our lovely Thanksgiving break!

We continued our Disney on Ice tradition with the Saturday 1:00 show!
We thought the acrobatics were on point and the best show we'd seen!

grand finale

Frozen - they had a lot of acrobatics with guys jumping the ramps - very cool.

The Little Mermaid - lots of hanging, spins and tricks from the ropes

Aladdin - with guys doing jumps and flips on the tumble track

Coco - SUPER impressive tricks on these poles!

Moana

Toy Story - the screen in the back was cool as it changed and was interactive

Beauty and the Beast

Disney introduction

We met the Wynias in Altoona for brunch and then ran around the outlets for a bit -
stopping at all the photo ops.

Perkins - we had a back room to ourselves and the food and service was great!

On Friday, the girls and I hit up the free movie in town - Peter Rabbit 2 -
we hadn't seen it yet and it was pretty good!

Friday morning meant time for an early stock gift - metallic glitter markers.

Thanksgiving lunch at Tracy church - Avery was getting into the turkey idea

I kept my pot and accessories from last year and had Stam's Garden fill it with
greenery again this year for only $30!

Playing Pilgrims and Indians in the mild warm weather after school on Wednesday afternoon.

And of course, the Christmas treat making begins!

Our favorite - pretzels, rolos, m&ms - yummy!

Trick or Treat

Due to a cold and rainy week, Halloween festivities were moved to Saturday in Oskaloosa
and it turned out to be a sunny and nice fall day!
Avery the Cheetah and Aubrey the Scarecrow.
Aubrey volunteered to pass out candy at Mahaska Drug for
a few hours while Avery and I hit a few other places with cousins first.

We used a can of black hair dye to help complete her look.

I added some makeup and face paint for Aubrey's look.

Avery did her own face paint!

We met Grandma Char and the Palmers at the Enchanted Trail with a Wizard of Oz theme.

The trail ended at the Animal Shelter with snacks and drinks.

We then met up with Steve to wait for an hour and 15 minutes through the Mahaska Drug line.

After Mahaska Drug we grabbed pizza and ate it in the van before we ended the night trick or treating around the neighborhood.

Costumes over the years!
