ISU Basketball

On Sat. Feb. 24 we all finally made it to a women's basketball game to ISU this year.
The weather was great and it was a 6:00 Saturday night game.

We really enjoy watching the freshman #55 Audi Crooks -
that night she broke the ISU record for most points scored in a freshman year!

We spent the extra $1 to put the Clone cones in a souvenir basketball cup :)

ISU WINS! (sad they didn't play the Juicy Wiggle this time)

It was their cancer game so they collected quite a few pink pom-poms after the game left in the stands.

Daddy Daughter Dance - Avery

On Friday, Feb. 23, it was the Daddy-Daughter Dance for Steve & Avery

Aubrey & I went out for Mexican and then went to the school auction.

We got dessert!

Avery dancing the night away!

She decided she didn't want a corsage and she got a cheaper dress so that they could bid of some silent auction items and they won this basket.

Aubrey - 7th grade Fine Arts

Aubrey had our local Fine Arts at OSCI on Feb. 20.
She competed in four events and moved on to districts at PCHS on Feb. 29.
Her saxophone duet did not move on.

Skit "Not Rumplestilktskin"

Interpretive speech reading "Cordelia"

Trombone & Alto Sax duet

Apparently Aubrey's sax was out of tune so the judge came up and fixed it for her

ISU Women's Game

We have been trying to go to an ISU men's or women's basketball games
all winter long, but Aubrey & Steve got a chance to get free tickets from a friend
on a Wednesday night. They got 4 tickets, close parking, and wristbands
to go to Johnny's for free food and drinks.
Since Avery and I had GEMS we were unable to go, sadly.

Steve invited Uncle Chad and Aunt Cindy and they could make it

Audi Crooks #55 is a Freshman who had her best career high with 29 points

Taking a pic of the cheerleaders for Avery

Of course she got a Clone cone

Avery - end of 4th grade Little Eagles

Avery had a long basketball season from October - February for her
4th grade Little Eagles basketball team.
She loved the social aspect, but is unsure if she'll play in the future.

At her North Mahaska tourney, their team got 2nd - first time for a medal

Group hug - yay for getting a medal!
