Texas Vacation Day 1 and Day 2

On Monday, June 5 we traveled to Texas and made it one day!
Day 1 - TRAVEL

Stretching their legs

Taking the Kansas Turn Pike toll road and ran through hundreds of miles of cattle pastures.

YAY - We made it to Buc-cees! Such a fun gas station!

We grabbed some sandwiches for supper from Buc-cees
and ate outside the parking lot by this cute little spot.

We made it to our hotel in Arlington, Texas!

A warm night for a night swim to get our energy out!

DAY 2 - Fort Worth/Arlington
We were thrilled to see a Texas shaped waffle at the hotel!

We got to the Fort Worth Stockyards early and were able to explore before it got busy.

We got to tour where they penned up the long horned cattle and walk the cat walk.

There were lots of little shops that were fun to look around.

We found the sheriffs who were on horse and they came to chat and pet their horses.

Every day at 11:00 and 3:00 the long horned cattle get walked down main street - fun to see!

We walked over the the World's Largest Honky Tonk Billy Bob's - restaurant, bar, and line dancing.

After exploring the Stock Yards, we drove downtown to explore the Water Gardens

We drove by to see the Dallas Cowboys football AT&T Stadium

A quick time at the hotel to swim a little bit before our evening fun!

We then headed to the Texas Rangers MLB game - they have the newest stadium in the league!

It was an indoor stadium with a retractable roof! It was closed due to the possibility of rain that night.

We happened to go on a Tuesday, which meant family night! That meant $10 parking and a $40 meal of 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks and 4 candies. What a deal!
