Wax Museum

The Osky Christian Junior High held their Wax Museum on Thursday, October 20.

Their assignment was to pick a person who made an impact on the world, 

they could be alive or dead. The students then had to write a biography,

dress the part and make a 1 minute speech to present.

Aubrey chose Bethany Hamilton -

the pro surfer from Hawaii who at the age of 13 got her left arm

bitten off by a shark. She shared a great testimony of how she 

overcame tragedy with triumph and has been able to share her faith

through this experience.

 

Purple Prime Cheer

Avery had her first Cheer Performance on Sunday, October 16.

We traveled to Albia for the Southern Iowa Cheer & Dance Exhibition.

Our group, Transform Academy is not a competition team,

we just go to perform and have fun, so they didn't get an award,

but oh my, they did so good! *all 1 minute of their performance* :)

Avery came up with their team name Transform Academy "Purple Prime"

ISU Volleyball

On Friday after the Center Grove Orchard, we picked up McDs

and "tailgated" in the parking lot before the ISU Volleyball game!

It was "Women in Sports" night so the girls all got a free banner and a free shirt!

We all got ISU eye black tattoos for fun!

We were THRILLED Cy came up to say HI!

Avery was thrilled to watch the cheerleaders!

We split the HUGE "Clone Cone" ice cream

We stayed after the game to get autographs by all the players!

Center Grove Orchard

On Friday, October 7, we meet Ashley and the Wynia kids in Cambridge, IA

for a trip to Center Grove Orchard! It was a BEAUTIFUL fall day!

We all had a day off of school due to teachers at Heartland Break at Dordt.
