Happy 6th Birthday, Avery!

Another day, another birthday girl!
Avery was up before the sun ready to party!

Aubrey got Avery some slime and a nice note :)

Avery's birthday donut

Avery typically doesn't have school on her birthday either,
but we only had a 1/2 a day due to PTC
We traveled to Ottumwa for Avery to get her EARS PIERCED!
She got to hold "Claire Bear" and have a sucker!

She got a little nervous and needed to hold my hand, but didn't cry during it!
She picked out GOLD BALLS - something a typical 6 yo wouldn't pick,
but GOLD is her favorite color!

She spent some birthday money to get a CABOODLE!
I had one, too, as a little girl (and still have it!)

Her card from cousin Amanda in TN

She chose Maid-Rite for supper and ate a FROSKY for dessert!

She had to wait until after supper to finally open her presents!

Lego Friends Mini Vet

Frozen 2 book

Frozen 2 DVD - scream-worthy!

Happy 9th Birthday, Aubrey!

This was the first birthday that Aubrey actually had school-
normally we are already on spring break!

She picked out donuts for breakfast
(it was even still dark out :))

The DVD Aladdin!

After school the girls went to Dollar Tree and they
have a tradition to each pick something out for each other.

Avery picked out this wall decor for Aubrey's newly-to-be painted room.

Card from cousin Amanda in TN

New personal devotions book from Mom and Dad

a binder for all her drawings and stories

It was warm enough to jump on the trampoline and Dad to grill for supper

candle on the birthday supper, too

a game of birthday Headbanz made by Aubrey

and one more candle on dessert

Aubrey's friends party

On Monday, I took the girls and Aubrey's 3 friends
to the Pella Art Center for a painting party.

Avery was very glad that she was invited to come along, too!

Aubrey chose to paint the cupcake, but everyone got to pick their own colors.

Even Mom got to paint :)

Avery and her finished product - totally done by herself from start to finish!

Aubrey's friends brought a few gifts for her to open while the paint dried.

Kate actually sewed the pillowcase for Aubrey!

with Leah

with Emily

Aubrey's finished product - it was her idea to add sprinkles, so we all did :)

Also while the paint was drying, the teacher led the girls in some games.

I took the girls out for supper to Culver's afterwards.

Avery enjoyed her dessert
