Van Grouw Complete Dispersal Sale

Aubrey and I drove up to Northwest Iowa to witness the Van Grouw Complete Dispersal Sale that was on Friday, January 27 at our farm.  It was a neat thing to be a part of and it made me really proud of my Dad (and Mom and rest of the family) for all his hard work to raise such great cows.  He was/is well respected by many dairymen, friends, and neighbors and his hard work all these years paid off!  Way to go, Van Grouw Dairy, Inc. You made us all proud to be a "Van Grouw." Here are a few pics to get a glimpse of the day.

The Mortin barn was converted into pens and a show arena.  This was the west side.

The is the east side of barn with an auction area and chairs all around.
Pardon the "spots" in the pics, it was kinda dusty in the barn.

Aubrey's only picture ever with the "black and white" cows.

I guess this was a good cow...maybe? ;)

Curt and our relief milker from Dordt, Andrew

Aubrey discovered that it's fun to grab the water from the spout

Grandpa had free time to spend feeding Aubrey.
