Since Mommy had to work on Aubrey's birthday, we decorated a little early to extend the birthday fun. Aubrey helped pick out what color balloons and where to put them :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUBREY DAWN!
Since Mommy had to work, I snuck into Aubrey's room
and woke her up before I left for school.
I had to see her before I left for the day.
So, Aubrey got to stay home with Daddy and have a great day together!
They started a new tradition:
going to Jaarsma's Bakery for donuts
(such a fun idea, good work, Daddy!)

They got cherry donut holes and since it was her birthday,
the cashier gave her two free cookies, too!
After school, I picked up a cake from Hy-Vee...
Aubrey was SO EXCITED to see it that right when I opened it up,
she lunged after it!
I did not expect that at all, and my first reaction was,
"Steve, quick go get the camera!" :)
She felt sad that she ruined her cake :(
I didn't even get a picture of what it was like "before,"
But oh well, it makes for some fun memories :)
That night we had a birthday party at our house
with grandpas and grandmas and aunts and uncles.
Here we are waiting for everyone to come!
We ordered in Breadeux Pizza, I made a few salads and we had
supper before we opened presents.
