We headed out to Pella's Tulip Time after school on Friday and decided
to spend the later afternoon and evening at Tulip Time this year.
It was unseasonably warm with upper 80 degrees!
I am gald we got there in the later afternoon/evening
since it did cool off a little.
Aubrey was ready for the photo ops this year
Avery liked the Dutch wooden shoes
time to smell the tulips
first food: the poffertjes
We had no problem putting away two plates between the four of us!
Avery loved to stare up at the big windmill
maybe the best part - the big slide!
Avery could have done this all night
and we would have (had it not cost $1/time)
Maybe we should have brough the double stroller ;)
Grandma Char and Grandpa Craig met up with us for the evening
THE BEST PART: $1 sno cones
and defintiely SO MESSY!
Time for the night parade, starting at 8:30!
(Daddy was smart and thought to bring our glow stick)
Avery LOVED IT!
Her mouth was open wide for most of the time,
she particularly loved Thomas the train!
Aubrey wanted pics with most of the floats ;)
Oops- shewanted this pic
until we realized it was the PELLA girls basketball team ;)
Aubrey with Grandma Char
Avery with Grandpa saying "THOMAS!"
dancing to the bands together
absolutely zonked by 10:30 at night
(please don't report for unsafe seatbelt...this was one minute from home
that she finally clunked out like this ;))
such a late night for a sweet girl
