Adventureland

We waited until the last weeks of summer, but we fit in our
annual trip to ADVENTURELAND!
We did things a little differently since Mom
had to tutor a few kids in the morning,
so we left right at 11:30.

We ate our packed lunch in the van on the way, and were standing
in line (for almost an hour) for the Raging River!

It was Avery's fist time and she LOVED it!!
(we all enjoy this one)

We were headed to the water park first so we had our swimsuits on.

Both girls went right under the waterfall and we all got quite wet.

Our one picture at the waterpark since we were having too much fun!
We were there for about 3 hours.
The water beetles were horrible - ew!

waiting for Dad and Aubrey as they did the Outlaw rollercoaster

NOT PICTURED WAS OUR WET FEET EPISODE!
We had just changed out of our swimsuits and decided to do
the Saw Mill Splash!
Typically you might get a few drops but don't get that wet.
We had our tennis shoes and socks on and for some reasons the tubes
HAD SIX INCHES OF WATER ON THE BOTTOM
and the dumb dude MADE you put your feet in it.
We were so mad and the guy was on a power trip.
I may have been a bit sassy with him, but COME ON!
The lady on the microphone was yelling at us to put our feet down - wow!
And I told the guy was being quite rude, too. Dumb.
That tube should have had a drain valve in it or something.
AND the ride must have changed because we got SOAKED
from an overboard wave.
(we should have gotten off and made a point, but the actual ride was pretty fun,
despite the getting wet part. . . next time we need to do it before we change back to clothes)
So RIGHT after we dried of and changed, we were soaked
and the worst part was the wet shoes and socks!
We were quite annoyed, but it didn't ruin our fun!

They were stuck up high as they switched out kids.

We ate a pretty cheap supper of some sub sandwiches and pizza inside the park
which we typically don't do either!
We were allowed to bring in Gatorade and snuck in some snacks, too.

The UNDERGROUND . . . be scared!

More little rides with Avery while Dad and Aubrey
did the TORNADO roller coaster,

Dad braved the MONSTER!
Aubrey really wanted to maybe try it, but we said wait one more year
since we didn't think she was quite ready!

The Frog Hopper - still a fan favorite!

on the TORNADO!

About 1/3 through this ride Avery says,
"I like it. . . . making me a little dizzy. . . I think I'm going to puke."
Needless to say she won't be going on that one again :)
She was fine though thankfully!

 Here's her "puke face"- lol

It was fun to ride some rides at night with all the lights!

We made it on the LAST train ride of the night!

 pretty Ferris wheel at night

sisterly love snuggling a tired 4 year old

The park closed at 9;00 and we shut it down!
We always have such a good time and today was FANTASTIC!
