Aubrey's Cattle Shows

Aubrey and Steve had a few busy weeks at the beginning of June.

First they went to Afton, IA for the State Simmental Show.
They went up Saturday, June 5 and stayed in a hotel for the night and showed
and came home on June 6.
Grandpa Craig came up for the show day to help out.

Aubrey had some down time and played whiffle ball with some other junior members.

Putting her heifers in tie outs for the night.

Another girl named Caylie showed Aubrey how to make the tail look pretty :)

Aubrey showed "Ruby" and "Daisy Duke"

The following week, Aubrey and Steve drove out to Springfield, MO for the Junior Regionals. They were gone from Wed. June 9 - Sat. June 12.

Aubrey enjoyed her evenings in the hotel pool.

Aubrey had to prepare and give a 3 minute+ speech using only two notecards about preparing for calving season. Here she is preparing the night before.

She participated in a few contests - this one was called a Sales Talk where she had to try to sell her heifer "Daisy Duke." She succeeded!

In her spare time, she was journaling about her time away.

Getting ready to give her speech! She was really nervous, but she did it!

Steve took her out to eat to Steak N Shake one night!

Sales Talk

Grandma Char and Grandpa Craig came down for two days to watch her showmanship and show.

It was hot and she enjoyed these drinks :)

She got 2nd in her class with Daisey Duke!
