Night Eyes

On Saturday afternoon (4:30-6:30)

we took Mom and Dad VG with us to Night Eyes,

a trick or treat event at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines.

Going through the tunnel, Avery got scared. 

Everyone on the train made noises and Avery says, 

"My mom and and dad said ARROOOO (wolf noises) and it scared me!"

"Then Grandpa keeped me safe!"

We were so glad Grandma and Grandpa could come with us!

Aubrey was brave enough to say HI to Clifford...

but as soon as Clifford moved Avery freaked ;)

THE LORAX - our favorite movie

FUNNY STORY!

This creepy guy was being a little naughty...he was NOT a worker for Night Eyes,

just a guy wanting to scare people.

He would go and pose and try to scare people.

He was standing right there and Aubrey thought he was fake

so she went right up to him and grabbed his hand!

Of course this guy took advantage and JUMPED OUT at her!

She FREAKED and we all died of laughing!

Then it hit her that it was kind of scary and started crying

and wanted to go home right away. Thankfully I agreed to hold her hand

for the rest of the time and she was ok.

He kept popping up along the route and Aubrey would eye him.

Avery thought it was funny and called him a "scary dinosaur."

After our walk through Night Eyes,

we ate supper at Culver's 

Avery was being a stinker in the corner booth

Aubrey had a busy day and zonked out and slept the whole way home

even though everyone was talking and Avery was yelling.

Avery never did fall asleep - too much entertainment going on.
